Waterloo Wellington Adult Day Services summit
Our Opportunity Centre Manager (Karen) and Service Coordinator (Brittany) attended the Waterloo Wellington Adult Day Services summit last week. The day included an educational horticulture session, a collaborative discussion on what’s working well (and what isn’t) across various day programs, and a thoughtful closing conversation on compassion fatigue.
During that final session, they explored how to recognize the signs of compassion fatigue and drummed up some practical, meaningful strategies for prevention and management.
This was such a valuable and insightful day for our team!
