Honouring Freedom and Progress - Juneteenth 2025

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of resilience, liberation, and the ongoing journey toward equity and justice.
On June 19th, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedom.
At Traverse, we honor this day by reflecting on our shared history, celebrating Black culture and contributions, and reaffirming our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that we do.
Let us continue to learn, grow, and work together to build a future where freedom and opportunity are truly for all.
